Welcome and thanks for finding me.
Some of you may know me from The Reclining Butterfly - Yoga and Holistic Wellness. I'm excited and honoured to share with you this next chapter in my journey and in the offerings I share with those seeking a life more conscious, happy and real.
Through my own travels and experiences I have come to learn more about the importance of self-awareness and self-acknowledgement through worth, values and forgiveness. We are all seeking our own piece of recognition from the external factors around us but instead we forget that the most sustainable and fulfilling answer to this plight is simply being content with the recognition that we allow ourselves. Too often we fall short of our own initiated expectations only to suffer self-criticism and self-blame for not being good enough. Too often we torture our soul by looking to what others have and try to compete in ways that deplete our health and go against our values. It's a harrowing truth and one that can be very difficult to accept.
We may never completely escape the useless ego-directed chatter that the mind feeds us. But at least we can find ways to break the cycle of haunting thoughts and create pathways to go beyond these limiting beliefs.
I knew from a young age that I wanted to have my own business, I wanted to help people and I wanted to perform. At 29 I left my career in Advertising and Production to pursue these dreams and what manifested are The Reclining Butterfly, Own Grown Organics and now Indigo Healing Arts. Needless to say the last three years of my life have been the most rewarding and satisfying. But it didn't happen overnight and it certainly wasn't a decision I woke up and made one morning. No no no. It took years of chronic digestive disorders, headaches, insomnia, stress and a constant feeling of inadequacy that prompted me to look for the reasons behind the dis-ease and seek help.
I am so grateful for my healing team of practitioners and teachers that have facilitated my growth along the way. But I am most grateful to myself for having the courage to walk away from what seemed like the ideal life and to delve deep into a place of intuitive guidance, faith and transformation.
The work is never done and it is also for this reason that I keep learning new ways of nurturing my body, mind and soul. I am always excited to share these learnings with clients, students and friends, and hope you will enjoy learning too as I share these discoveries with you in the Journal.
Blessings, love and light
